Our Food Van for Fans

Our food van, the Jabberwocky, is a sociable beast and likes nothing better than to roam a town, fair or festival near you. We're regulars at several annual events and can occasionally be found at Digbeth Dining Club in Birmingham

Our speciality is the gourmet toastie, hand made from freshly baked bread and the best cheeses we can find. We know where every part of that toastie comes from, and each new offering goes through weeks of careful and delicious development before we unleash it on the public.

Running a street food business is the best job either of us have ever done. It's fun, rewarding as hell and we are our own bosses. The Street Food Menu

The Great British Toastie is our take on a grilled cheese sandwich. We take a freshly baked loaf of bread, some of the finest ingredients we can find and combine them on our bespoke presses to make a fresh, simple, but utterly mind-blowing meal. Our menu is seasonal, locally sourced, free range and very thoroughly tested, so you will get your money's worth every time. We will always have a few veggie options and if we possibly can we will try to cater for any other dietary requirements. Here are a few of the best (please note the menu is seasonal and subject to changes, on a whim, for any reason).

• The Classic: West Country cheddar with Warwickshire roast ham

• The Reuben: Gouda, pastrami, Russian dressing and gherkins

• Goats cheese, red onion marmelade and rocket

• The Club: A serious double decker sandwich of cheddar, British bacon, free range chicken, rocket and tomato.

If you would like to hire the van to cater your event our fully trained chef can also make a whole host of other indulgences, for when you want to celebrate in style but on a budget:

• Basil and Warwickshire ham profiteroles stuffed with mascarpone

• Brownie bites with fairtrade dipping chocolate

• Cheddar Cheese straws with garlic butter

• Carrot fritters and rhubarb chutney

• Banana fritters drizzled with home-made vanilla fudge sauce

• Battered King prawns with a sweet chilli dip

Our Food Van for your Event

If you are planning a festival or fair, whatever the size, and are looking for a food van with character, read on. We would love to come crashing into your life like a wonderfully eclectic, oversized, VW catering truck. Not only do we serve ravenously good food from either our Restaurant Food to Go or toastie menus, we're also unashamedly keen. We're known for picking up our own rubbish, promoting your event whenever we have chance and we absolutely love what we do.

To the stats! Our food truck is 5m long and 2.5 wide (3m with the hatch open). The serving area is 1.5m long and staffed by a fully trained chef and an air-headed writer (who nonetheless has an up-to-date food hygiene certificate). We are gas safe checked in July every year, PAT tested in September and EHO inspected at least annually.

Depending on the event hire charges will vary, but the average price of a toastie, as served to the public, is £3.50. Please get in touch for a quote or to tell us about your event.

Places We Serve Street Food

Our food truck provides its catering services for festivals, fayres, markets and mops accross Warwickshire, the West Midlands, Oxfordshire, Leicestershire, Worchestershire, Northamptonshire and Staffordshire. If we think he will survive the journey, we will try and get our magnificent food van out to you.
