Gourmet Street Food Toasties

Welcome to the Jabberwocky Leamington Spa. We are a proudly independent micro-business serving toasties since 2010. We source locally, package ethically and put back into the community wherever we can. Our food vans thunder all around Warwickshire and the Midlands: visiting your festival, attending your street food event or catering your wedding. We’re not just about cheese toasties, no matter home many awards we have for them, so check out all our other food types below and see what we can do for you.

Betty the Flame Red Food Truck

Our food vans are something a little out of the ordinary, just like our food. We don’t just want to cater your event, we would like to nail it. Our honest-to-God goal is to serve amazing food like we mean it, because that’s what we enjoy doing.

Award Winning

Who doesn’t love a bit of recognition? We’ve got that covered. Ask us about serving award-winning food at your event for the ones that have been spanked with trophies!

Balu the Converted Ambulance Food Truck

Festivals would be a little tight in Betty, but our magnificent retired NHS ambulance Balu tackles them with the grace and endurance. Squeaky clean, certified up to the roof hatches and big enough for any length of service, Balu is living his best life right now.

Street Food Difficulty Level: Pro

The reason it's all been quiet on the blog front over the last few weeks is because negativity doesn't sell. Not that I'm really selling anything other than street food, but no one wants to read, week after week, the disheartening accounts of how the van is still...

Street Food TV Shows I Wish They Would Make

The van is still out of action. The guy who was going to send us an engine doesn't have one; the people who do have engines are invariably hundreds of miles away, or they are offering a deal that sounds too good to be true. Unlike a good street food TV show,...

British Street Food Awards – Birmingham Heat

This Friday is the first ever regional heat for the British Street Food Awards. In the past 6 years the awards have been fairly London-centric from the rest of the country's point of view, but this year they are taking to the road. First stop on that journey, to ease...

Painful Food Van Problems

I have always been an advocate of food vans. The Beast is nothing less than the third member of the Jabberwocky, and he's an important part of the business. I've always been very open about how much food vans can - and do - break down, but most conversations seem to...

For an accurate quote we need the Event Location, Guest Numbers and Date along with Your Name (because “your majesty” is a bit of a mouthful) .

All done emailing? Nice. We will get back to you as soon as we can, but in the mean time you could while away the hours with this post about booking wedding food, or perhaps an enlightening sermon on the difference between grilled cheese, paninis and toasties.

What some of our customers have said…

Had a manwich. Epic meatiness. With cheese *sigh*

Referring to the Candy Manwich – “insane – very very intense”.
